About us

Ramesh Sirputh founded Edison Power Electrical on the 25th of March 1993 after migrating to Australia in 1990. Ramesh operated a successful electrical contracting business in South Africa, completing projects for the government and Private sector.

On arrival to Australia in 1990, his plans to start up an electrical business was prevented by red tape. His overseas qualifications were not recognized, but with determination and perseverance he obtained his Australian qualifications to start Edison Power Electrical. It has been a family owned business since then.

In 2007 Edison Power Electrical was handed over to the new Managing Director his son Reshwyn Sirputh. The second generation of Sirputh took Edison Power to an even playing field with the top electrical companies in Queensland.

Edison Power Electrical specializes in domestic, industrial and commercial fit outs. We have years of experience behind us and some of our clients include the Queensland Government, Port of Brisbane, Q-rail, Q-Build and Private Sector. We also specialize in small to large commercial fit outs including Data/Power/Lighting and access control to restaurants, Hair salons, Tab agencies optometrists and specialty shops.

At Edison Power electrical 80% of our business is gained from referred clients so we know that a happy client is a constant client. We offer a 12 month warranty on all our workmanship including all replacement of any faulty equipment.
